New Medicare Supplement Products
New Medicare Supplement Secure Plans
The Medicare Supplement Secure Plan is offering four new plans, which include A, F, G, and N. These new plans offer the same benefits as their counterparts but offer better rates if a member can pass underwriting. Age-In prospects and members are guaranteed issue for the secure plans. Existing members (65+) can undergo underwriting, and if they pass may qualify for lower rates in these new Secure Plans. Starting February 1, 2022 plans are ready to quote for an effective start date of April 1, 2022.
Plan G Plus
Plan G Plus is a brand comprehensive Medicare Supplement Insurance plan available to you. It has everything you want in a Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan including the option to see any doctor or hospital that accepts Medicare, stable and reliable rates and help with costs that original Medicare doesn’t cover. You get all of that plus greater value and more choices. Plan G Plus gives you dental benefits that include two cleanings, two exams and one X-ray per year; vision benefits that include a $0 annual exam; hearing benefits including a $0 annual exam and discounts on hearing aids; free SilverSneakers® Fitness Program; and 24/7 Nurseline access for all Medicare Supplemental members.
New Discounts
Continue With Blue
The seven percent discount extends to those of Medicare age who can show commercial/retail active membership in HCSC states no later than one year prior to plan effective date. A member can only qualify for one discount (Household Discount or Continue with Blue), and the discount lasts as long as the Medicare Supplement membership is active.
Household Discount
Household discounts on monthly premiums increased to 7% in 2021. This will apply to new and current members. To be eligible, at least two members must reside at the same address and have Medicare Supplement plans with effective dates on or after January 1, 2020.
